International Studies

Georgia has been actively engaged in international educational research since 2006

The purpose of international educational studies, including competency assessments, is to compare the achievement levels of participating countries against international standards and to identify key contextual factors.

Starting in 2024, the National Center for Educational Research will oversee international educational research activities in Georgia.

Currently, the country participates in the following international studies:

Teacher Snippets: Inspiration for the Classroom

How can we transform educational research findings into practical and useful materials for teachers? The International Association for the Evaluation of Educational Achievement (IEA) identified school-specific 'snippets' as an effective way to bridge this gap.

These brief tips translate specific research findings into actionable classroom recommendations for teachers.

In addition to sharing the IEA’s experience and hosting their snippets, the National Center for Educational Research has begun preparing national reports in a similar format to provide to teachers. The Center intends to use this approach to deliver findings from all future reports to schools.
