The International Association for the Evaluation of Educational Achievement (IEA) is one of the most authoritative international educational organizations in the world. Over 60 countries are involved in the IEA's international network, with more than 100 countries participating in its coordinated international educational studies.
The IEA General Assembly, the primary decision-making body of the IEA, is a distinguished event in the field of education. It brings together leading educational experts and policymakers dedicated to advancing educational progress.
In 2024, the General Assembly meeting will be held in Georgia, hosted by the National Center for Educational Research. NCER team members have served as national coordinators and data managers for these studies since Georgia began participating in international educational studies. The head of NCER has also been a member of the IEA General Assembly for several years.
Starting in 2024, Davit Gabelaia, a senior researcher from the National Center for Educational Research, will represent Georgia in the IEA General Assembly.
The 65th meeting of the IEA General Assembly will take place in Tbilisi from September 27 to October 3.
